A Teacher's Source of Entertainment

Aren't my kids the cutest bunch?

If you've been keeping up with my blog, you know that Wednesdays are my least favorite days at school. Not because of the children, but because of my 8 consecutive classes! It’s exhausting… So this morning, I left the comfort of my home with lead heavy feet leading me to a long, long, long working day!

My first class showed up a few minutes late, full of life and ready to learn more and more and more “Cyndia Teacher”! They are my very first 1st grade class of the week--they are my precious little kids! So I stood in front of the class this morning, like I do EVERY Wednesday morning, marveling at their confused state as if it was the first time they came to my classroom. School started exactly one month ago today and still, every time they come to class, their teacher has to explain to them where to sit. They are to sit on the floor according to their regular classroom’s seating chart. The only difference is that in my class, they sit on the floor.

Anyway, their teacher always gives them a few minutes to figure it out by themselves but they always just end up confused and just sitting all over the mat! So he then has to quiet everyone down, call out the students' numbers and then point them where to sit! It's HILARIOUS but this morning was the best scene ever, the icing on the cake! I could not stop laughing...at their expense, of course!

There was this one little girl trying to listen to about 4 of her friends telling her where she should sit. The funny thing was that they each had a different opinion -- so this poor little confused girl just ended up going left, then right, then left again before the teacher stopped them.

Are you still wondering why I love elementary school? It's so entertaining!
